A Coastal Celebration of Love in Topsail Beach, NC

There’s something special about a coastal wedding—especially when the couple leads with authenticity and love. This May celebration on Topsail Beach for Alice and Ashley was one of those rare days that felt effortless from start to finish. Two souls, deeply in love, said “I do” barefoot in the sand with the sound of waves behind them and their closest people gathered around.

After the ceremony, guests returned to the couple’s oceanfront rental, where a white tent had been set up around the pool for the reception. The setup was elegant and relaxed—white tablecloths, coastal florals, buffet dinner, and lots of laughter.

Every detail was thoughtful without being overdone. From handwritten vows and sunset portraits on the dunes to tiny figurines of their three chihuahuas tucked onto the wedding cake. The pups weren’t there in person, but they were certainly not forgotten.

As a wedding photographer based in Wilmington and serving Topsail Beach and beyond, these are the weddings I love most—intimate, intentional, and full of genuine connection. It’s not about trends or timelines; it’s about people being fully themselves and letting the day unfold naturally.
